As of June 1, Select Catering is looking for a Restaurant Manager for in restaurant of H'ART Museum! As catering partner of H'ART Museum Amsterdam, the Grand Café is located in the seventeenth-century building in a unique location. It is a wonderful place where museum visitors, business guests or guests of an event gather during the day. By the way, this cozy place is also available in the evenings for private parties but your working hours are mainly between 09:00 and 17:00, unique for a restaurant manager!

• You have HBO working and thinking level with appropriate education within the hospitality/event industry
• You are communicatively strong and stress resistant
• You have an affinity for food and drink
• You have a pleasant appearance and a welcoming attitude
• You are motivating, enthusiastic and helpful to your colleagues and have a sense of responsibility
• You are flexibly employable
• You have experience with computers, timekeeping systems, and the set-up and take-down of events

What will your duties be?

• Keeping the daily operation running smoothly and supporting it
• You organize and think ahead in matters such as Mise En Place, purchasing and reservations
• Menu development such as presentation and calculation
• Personnel matters such as scheduling, posting vacancies, conducting job applications
• Administrative tasks such as working with sales, shrinkage, purchasing and staff hours
• Marketing the restaurant through social media
• Maintaining the quality of service and products
• Being a point of contact for both your colleagues and guests
• You will be responsible for controlling personnel costs and resolving any issues/complaints
• Assist in the execution of banqueting and events in the courtyard area
