We are looking for an enthusiastic and independent Lunch Chef to work 24 to 32 hours per week at the Select Grand Café in the Louwman Museum in The Hague.

You’ll be working as part of a close-knit team of kitchen and service staff, and together with your colleagues, you’ll be responsible for providing a warm and high-quality lunch experience for our museum visitors, business groups, and group reservations.

About the Select Grand Café

The Select Grand Café is located in the magnificent Louwman Museum in The Hague, home to one of the most extraordinary automobile collections in the world. Every day, we welcome museum visitors, business guests, and a wide variety of groups. In addition to our regular food and beverage service, we also cater lunches, receptions, and events for both private and corporate clients.

What will you do?

As a lunch cook, you are responsible for:

• Preparing and serving lunch dishes independently
• Ensuring the quality and presentation of dishes
• Preparing and Managing the Mise-en-Place
• Receiving and Processing Orders
• Contributing ideas about the menu and kitchen procedures
• Working according to HACCP guidelines
• Working with colleagues from both the kitchen and the dining room

Working hours

• 24 to 32 hours per week (3 to 4 days)
• Day shifts between9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
• Saturday and Sunday are regular workdays
• Additional workdays by arrangement

What are we asking for?

• You have proven experience in the kitchen
• You can work independently and take on responsibility
• You should preferably speak Dutch
• You are hospitable, presentable, and a team player
• You are flexible and stress-resistant.
• You work cleanly, in an organized manner, and in accordance with HACCP guidelines
• You're available on the weekends
