About the client 

As an ambitious international firm of 80 lawyers, tax lawyers and notaries, this organization at Zuidas Amsterdam helps companies, institutions and investment funds realize their goals. But your goal is just as important. As a secretary you want to develop yourself within a dynamic organization where people work hard, but also laugh a lot! 

Your role as Legal Secretary Advocacy 

In this role you will support various lawyers in a variety of legal areas. You will work alongside your fellow secretary and together you will be responsible for the organizational and secretarial support of the legal practice. Your duties will include: 

  • Taking care of incoming and outgoing correspondence; 
  • Complex agenda management; 
  • Monitor deadlines, prepare pleadings; 
  • File management (creating clients/files in our system, conflict checks, preparing order confirmation, etc.);
  • KYC/wwft administration (collecting data pursuant to the wwft); 
  • (Preparing to) declare. 

In addition, you pick up any common work that arises so that the lawyers can concentrate on their own work as much as possible. You identify bottlenecks and work to resolve them. No two days are the same, making your job very varied. Due to the diversity of tasks, it goes without saying that you act in a goal-oriented manner and that you quickly master the associated activities. 

Our ideal candidate possess

  • We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague who is flexible and proactive;
  • You can work well under pressure without compromising your accuracy or good humor;
  • You are a real team player and can also work well independently;
  • In addition to a relevant education, you have already gained some work experience, preferably at a law firm or other legal organization/department;
  • Command of the Dutch and English language both verbally and in writing;
  • Experience with Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • You possess a healthy dose of humor and relatability;
  • You are available between 32 and 40 hours;
  • You have a businesslike and presentable appearance which fits within the legal environment; 
  • You live near the Zuidas, Amsterdam.
