Facility Logistics Officer (with large driving license)

Select Catering is looking for an energetic warehouse worker who likes to get to work and wants to be part of a close-knit team. We have been a leading catering company with an eye for quality, reliability and service for 40 years. For us, every event is unique and requires an appropriate approach and interpretation. Our office is located at Schiphol-East, but we are active in Amsterdam, The Hague and the surrounding area. Fixed locations where we regularly work include the Louwman Museum in The Hague, Eye Filmmuseum, H'Art Museum, the Scheepvaartmuseum and the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.

You are independent and proactive: for example, you ensure yourself that a complete batch is ready to be transported. You manage the stocks and check if everything has come back complete upon return. Furthermore, you enjoy working at different locations and think along with us about how we can organize our logistics as efficiently as possible. Of course, you also like to roll up your sleeves and prepare everything down to the last detail! You also enjoy doing maintenance work in the warehouse.

What does a workday look like for you?

You start today nice and early. For the past few days you've been busy getting the lot ready, and this morning you're gathering the last items from the cooler. Everything complete? Then you leave for the location - nicely on time, so you can avoid the traffic jams.

On site, a team will be ready to help you unload. Once everything is in place, you will help with the set-up and decoration. Everything is sorted logically so that the dismantling crew can easily find everything later. You will help connect the power cables and check with the party manager that everything is in place.

Then it turns out that a few extra cables are needed after all. No problem - you jump in the car and drive back to pick up the last items. A quick check with your colleagues: "Does anyone else need anything? After your second drive, everything is completely ready for tonight's event. Back at the warehouse, you repaint the 2 bar tables that are slightly damaged, so that we will have clean bar tables for the other event tomorrow! At the end of the day there is definitely time for a beer (or something else of course) together with your colleague!

What will you do?

• Receiving, checking and storing goods
• Preparing and clearing materials for events
• Perform transportation to event venues (with large driver's license)
• Assist with set-up and take-down of events
• Contribute to a smooth and organized logistics process
• Inventory management and tracking
• Maintenance work
• Keeping the warehouse neat and tidy

What do we ask of you?

• You are in possession of a C driver's license (if you do not have this but are interested in the position, getting this license is negotiable)
• You are willing to work alternating shifts, including occasional weekends
• You are presentable, eager to learn, flexible and can work well independently
• You work in a structured way and think in solutions
• You are available full time
• You live in the Amsterdam/Aalsmeer area (the warehouse is located in Aalsmeer)
