Would you like to be the welcoming face of ProRail—not just at one location, but wherever you’re needed? As a mobile receptionist and office host, you’ll be the constant presence ensuring a professional welcome at every office. No two days are the same, and that’s exactly what appeals to you.

All about the function

As an outpatient receptionist and office host at ProRail, you’ll be assigned to multiple locations. You’ll welcome visitors, log their arrivals, and issue visitor passes. You’ll also ensure that reception areas and general workspaces look neat and are ready for use. You’ll process mail, manage facility services, and promptly report any malfunctions or unusual occurrences.

You’ll work closely with facility managers, security, and other facilities partners at the various locations. Because you’ll be working on the go, you’ll quickly switch between teams and environments. You’ll also play an active role in emergency response procedures and assist with opening and closing rounds as needed.

Your Day as a Receptionist at ProRail

Your day begins at one of the ProRail offices. The location varies, but the routine is familiar. You take a quick tour of the reception area, check the visitor schedule, and coordinate with your colleagues on site regarding any special circumstances. Then the day can begin.

Visitors check in with you, employees come to you with questions, and in between, you handle facility-related requests. You make the rounds of the building, check that everything is in order and clean, and identify any issues that need to be addressed. Every location has its own unique dynamics, which keeps you on your toes. At the end of your shift, you wrap up the paperwork and provide a thorough handover.

Why work as a receptionist at ProRail?

ProRail manages the Dutch rail network and has offices throughout the country. Working at ProRail means working in a professional, safety-first environment where hospitality truly makes a difference. Visitors and employees count on you to give them a warm welcome. Every day, at every location.

Because you’ll be working in an outpatient setting, you’ll quickly gain a lot of experience. You’ll learn to work in different teams, with various systems, and in a variety of office environments. That will make you a versatile professional.
