Yes, you read it right! We are looking for a new multi-talent for Nike! Are you sports minded, do you have an affinity for facility management and can't wait to be the face of Nike? Then the position of Receptionist(e)/Operational hospitality topper might be for you!

As a Receptionist(e)/Operations Assistant, you are the point of contact within this international organization where the employees and guests are constantly in focus. In the various buildings on campus, you are the point of contact for facility requests and ad hoc situations in the working environment. You always think one step ahead. Whether that is when receiving guests, scheduled meetings/events or keeping your work area tidy. By having the right listening and questioning skills, you make sure that the satisfaction, quality, comfort and safety of employees is guaranteed at all times. By going the extra mile for employees and guests, we strive to relieve and delight. By means of floorwalks in the buildings, you identify improvements in service and liaise with the facility parties involved. See it, own it, solve it! Because of the various tasks you fulfill, it is important that you can communicate at all levels, can easily switch gears and know how to tackle things! (Please note! This is a flexible job where you are available at least three days a week from Monday to Friday. The summer job is from June 1 until the end of August for a minimum of 3 days per week. It is a 0-hour position and we cannot offer fixed hours. You only work to replace vacations.

Your day as a Receptionist(e)/Operational hospitality topper

A day as a Receptionist/Operational Assistant at Nike is never the same: When you start your shift in the morning you immediately do a floorwalk in your building. You systematically walk through all floors and check whether everything is tidy. If not, you and the cleaning or maintenance staff will immediately take care of the problem. You contact the appropriate departments and together you make sure that everything looks tidy again before the Nike employees arrive. Then you speak to a management assistant, he/she tells you that there is an important meeting in the afternoon and if you can support them. During the morning you create a daily report in which you incorporate your findings from your working day. You handle a number of incoming emails, create any work orders for maintenance and answer questions asked at the hospitality desk by Nike employees. You receive visitors and answer their questions. During the day you will make a number of light floorwalks across the departments and through the building. This really makes you the ears and eyes for facility and you know exactly what is going on in your building. You signal and take action.

Then there is an acute situation where you must act immediately. There is a ceiling leak on the 3rd floor. You run straight in that direction and quickly switch with the appropriate departments. As a result, the problem is fortunately fixed quickly. You spend the rest of the afternoon helping to support the meeting. The management assistant who spoke with you this morning is happy that you received the guests and got the presentation going with the help of IT and asks if you can give a tour of the campus to the guests. After the tour you do a big final floorwalk to have the building tidy for the next day. You check every work floor carefully, adjust the furniture, put all desks and monitors back in the right position, clean up any items left behind, check every meeting room if everything is still working and create any work orders.

  • Has experience in providing excellent service (experience in hospitality/hospitality/facility/reception is a plus);
  • Has a presentable appearance as a hostess/host;
  • Possesses a proactive work ethic and has an eye for detail;
  • Excellent ability to work independently;
  • Enjoys delivering guests the ultimate Nike experience;
  • Is proactive and representative as an ambassador.

Furthermore, it is important that you

  • Be available from June 1 to the end of August for at least 3 days per week for alternating shifts between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday; 
  • Fluent in English and able to write English well;
  • Be flexible and effortlessly adaptable to another person's needs;
  • Live in (the vicinity of) Hilversum.
