As a receptionist at Van Lanschot Kempen you will make guests and employees feel welcome. You will work for a leading bank at an exclusive location in stylish surroundings, where hospitality is expected at the highest level. You anticipate the wishes of visitors and answer questions such as: Has my guest already arrived, can I reserve a meeting room, or are parking spaces available? You know better than anyone how to set the right tone and sense what someone needs, even before they express it themselves.

In addition to receiving guests, you are the point of contact for colleagues with practical questions. By phone, email or at the counter. Whether it is about checking an arrival, arranging a meeting room or inquiring about parking options: you think in terms of possibilities and keep a cool head. Even when the pace quickens, you keep an overview and ensure a smooth, relaxed atmosphere.

Your day as a receptionist(e) at Van Lanschot Kempen

You start your work day by getting the reception desk in order. You check mailboxes, review meeting reservations and make sure everything is ready to receive guests professionally.

During the day, you welcome visitors, provide them with coffee or tea and create access passes. You answer questions from colleagues, process incoming phone calls and think ahead at peak times. You also manage the general mailbox and reserve rooms where necessary.

At the end of your shift, you carefully hand over details to your colleagues. Thus, every day is different, but always taken care of to perfection.

You are a professional host or hostess with an eye for detail and a keen sense of service. You derive pleasure from helping others, actively think along and remain friendly and focused even when busy. Additionally:

• Are you available immediately or at short notice (of course, we take into account a notice period);
• Do you live in (near) Den Bosch;
• Speak fluent Dutch and can get along well in English;
• Have experience in hospitality or service-oriented work (experience in hospitality or hotel industry is a plus);
• Do you have a proactive work attitude and think solution-oriented;
• Work meticulously, with an eye for detail and customer needs;
• Feel at home in a formal environment and have a presentable appearance.
