All about the function

As a receptionist at TU Eindhoven University, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, students, employees and suppliers. You will work on a vibrant and modern campus where professionalism and hospitality come together. You provide a warm welcome, show people the way and speak to them in a friendly manner. You will also manage the issuing of access passes, keys, AV equipment and service bicycles. You also receive packages, register visitors and perform light administrative tasks.

You will be part of a committed and enthusiastic front office team. Together, through clear communication and good coordination, you will ensure a smooth and hospitable reception. You work according to a schedule, seamlessly alternating and supporting each other where necessary. Every day is different and that is exactly what makes the work so fun and challenging.

Your day as a receptionist at TU Eindhoven

You start your shift presentable and organized, keeping the reception area tidy and prepared for a smooth working day. You check the schedule and briefly discuss important appointments with your colleagues.

During the day, you welcome students, staff and visitors with a friendly smile. You answer phone calls, help people quickly and efficiently and keep an overview. Thanks to your organizational talent and multitasking skills, everything keeps running smoothly even at busy times.

At the end of your shift, you neatly hand over to your colleagues, check that all rooms are ready for use and end the day on a positive note. This is how you ensure a professional and welcoming reception every day.

Our ideal candidate

• Is available immediately.
• Speaks fluent Dutch and has a good command of English;
• Has experience in hospitality or service-oriented work (hospitality/hoteling is a plus);
• Has a proactive work attitude and thinks solution-oriented;
• Has a presentable appearance and feels at home in a professional environment;
• Has knowledge of Microsoft Office and can quickly master new software or applications;
