For Achmea in Leiden we are looking for an enthusiastic receptionist who will ensure a warm welcome for visitors and colleagues. In this role you are the first point of contact and therefore the business card of the organization. As a Receptionist(e) at Achmea in Leiden, you will be part of a professional and committed team that stands for a warm and welcoming reception. Achmea is a leading insurance company with a focus on reliability and customer orientation. You are the first point of contact for visitors and employees and make sure everyone feels welcome.
You take care of registrations, hand out access passes and ensure a smooth flow of incoming and outgoing visitors. In addition, you offer a cup of fresh coffee or tea, always with attention and hospitality.
In addition to reception, you will be the point of contact for practical questions from colleagues by phone or email. Think of questions like: Has my guest arrived yet? Can I reserve a meeting room? Are parking spaces available? You are service-oriented, think along with solutions and maintain calm and an overview, even when it is busy.
Your day as a receptionist at Achmea
You start your day by setting up the reception area: making sure everything is neat and presentable, checking incoming reservations and reading through emails so you are well prepared. You check if there are any particulars and make sure the coffee corner is ready for the first guests. Everything is aimed at giving visitors an immediate, warm and professional welcome.
During the day, you receive a varied stream of guests. You register visitors, hand out passes and offer them a cup of coffee or tea. At the same time you answer questions from colleagues, both at the reception desk and by phone or email. You keep an overview, respond to peak moments and make sure that the reception area is always clean and cared for.
At the end of the day, you handle open tasks, update records and leave the reception area neat and tidy. You hand over details to your colleague on the next shift, ensuring a smooth transition and continuous service.

- Are you available immediately or at short notice (of course, we take into account a notice period);
- Do you live in (the vicinity of) Leiden and travel to work by public transport or car (on-site parking is available);
- Are you fluent in Dutch and proficient in English;
- Have experience in a hospitality or service position (experience in hospitality or hotel industry is a plus);
- Work independently, proactively and think in solutions;
- Do you have a presentable appearance and feel at home in a professional setting;
- Work accurately and respond to the needs of visitors and colleagues.
