All about the function

Would you like to work in an international and professional environment where hospitality is a top priority, down to the smallest details? Are you hospitable, presentable, and does creating an exceptional guest experience energize you? Then we’re looking for you!

We are looking for a professional and service-oriented Receptionist / Guest Services Representative for Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in Amsterdam.

As a Receptionist / Guest Services Representative, you are the face of BCG. You are the first point of contact for international guests, visitors, and colleagues, and you ensure that everyone feels welcome, valued, and completely taken care of from the very first moment.

You understand that high-quality hospitality goes beyond just a friendly welcome. It’s really in the details: a personalized greeting, recognizing a returning guest, knowing what someone needs before they ask, and ensuring that every aspect of their visit goes smoothly.

You are professional, discreet, and have a natural knack for customer service. You know when to be visible and when a subtle approach makes all the difference.

Your Day as an Office Host

You start your shift by reviewing the visitor schedule and any special notes. You ensure that the reception area, waiting rooms, and the Meeting Center look neat and presentable.

The first guests arrive. You welcome them personally, check them in, and assist them as needed. You know who is expected and ensure that their visit goes smoothly. You recognize returning guests and, whenever possible, anticipate their previous requests or preferences.

Throughout the day, you’ll keep an eye on the overall guest experience. You’ll provide support at the Meeting Center, ensure that meeting rooms are fully prepared, and coordinate practical matters related to visits, such as taxis, parking vouchers, and other requests.

Your colleagues also know where to find you. You help with questions about access passes and fleet cars, coordinate various requests, and provide support for meetings and events. In addition, you receive and coordinate suppliers, packages, and incoming mail.

No two days are the same. When multiple issues arise at once, you stay calm, set priorities, and maintain a high standard of service.

You see what needs to be done, think ahead, and make sure the details are right before anyone has to ask.

Why work as a Receptionist / Guest Services Representative at BCG?
