Party manager for Select Catering in Amsterdam & The Hague

To continue the success and growth of Select Catering, we are looking for an enthusiastic, driven Party Manager for several beautiful locations in Amsterdam and The Hague! What will you do?

As Party Manager, you will be responsible for the operational organization and planning of various parties and work closely with your colleagues in the office as well as on the shop floor. 

You are the contact person for both the client and the site manager of the respective location where the party takes place. 

You manage a team of enthusiastic employees and are proactive in solving problems. In doing so, you are responsible for preparing batches and making sure all materials are in order. 

Select Catering provides catering at the most special locations and in addition to our regular locations, we also provide beautiful dinners and events at companies and individuals in the Amsterdam and The Hague region.

Your duties as Party Manager include

• Responsible for the executive phase of various high-end events. These are diverse projects from 50 to 1000 guests, from a conference to an entirely custom-made event;
• Contact of clients for production matters, advisory and a directing role;
• Managing an enthusiastic team; 
• Independently start the event, coordinating the set-up and take-down of a party;
• So do you have affinity with the higher segment of catering and would you like to organize beautiful events for our relations at fantastic locations in Amsterdam and The Hague? Then we are looking for you!

• MBO working and thinking level with appropriate training within the hospitality/event industry;
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a relevant position in the hospitality or event industry;
• No 9-5 mentality, available on evenings & weekends;
• Energetic and eager to join a close-knit and sociable team;
• Stress resistant, organizationally strong and thinks in solutions;
• Customer-oriented and a serious interlocutor.

Furthermore, it is important that you

• Be a true host/hostess;
• Have a passion for the hospitality industry and be flexible in terms of working hours;
• Great sense of responsibility and ability to lead;
• Quick to shift gears, solution-oriented thinking and always goes for the best result;
• Fluent in Dutch and able to make yourself understood in English;
• In possession of a driver's license.
