Your job as a Receptionist(e)

As a Receptionist(e), you are the business card of this well-known university. You play a crucial role in the experience of staff, students and visitors. Reception is often the first point of contact and it is your job to make everyone feel welcome, understood and helped. Hospitality is the key word here. You do this both from behind the front desk and proactively in the immediate area. Besides receiving staff, students and visitors, you manage and register the issuance of various items such as passes, keys, AV equipment, umbrellas, service bikes and found objects. You accept and handle packages. Of course, you also make sure that the reception area is to pass through a ring. During the day you answer the phone, answer emails and do light administrative work. In short: a fun job full of variety, where you make everyone happy by offering a warm welcome.

What do we ask of you?

  • You will be available part-time from December/January for various shifts on Monday through Saturday between 07:30 and 23:30;
  • You are fluent in Dutch and also manage well in English;
  • You have experience in service work (hospitality/hotelling is a plus);
  • You are well-groomed and have a presentable appearance;
  • You like to do your job well, have an eye for detail and respond to the needs of others;
  • You have knowledge of Microsoft Office and can quickly master new software or applications;
  • You are willing to travel to work by public transportation.
