A day as a Receptionist(e)

You’re passionate about hospitality and get a real kick out of welcoming and checking in guests, employees, and vendors in the lobby. The trick is to turn their visit into an experience they won’t forget anytime soon! The lobby is an open, green space with three reception desks. But you won’t be sitting behind a computer all day! At Eneco, we like to proactively welcome visitors. That’s why there are hotspots in the lobby where you’ll be on hand to assist visitors! 

In addition, you alternate with colleagues who are in the back office. Here the parking and FAFS policies are implemented and you perform supporting (administrative) work. Daily you rotate between the front office receptions and the back office.

The job also mainly involves making catering rounds at the end of the day. In doing so, you ensure that the entire building is left neat and tidy. You check the various rooms and meeting spaces and make sure that used cups, glasses, tableware, and other catering supplies are collected and taken to the correct location. You also keep the bustling ground floor neat and presentable.

You’re a real go-getter who likes to roll up your sleeves and get to work. Cleaning up and physical labor don’t faze you; for example, you have no problem moving or lifting chairs. You have an active mindset and enjoy being on the move throughout the day and spending a lot of time on your feet.

With your constant eye for visitors, environment and detail, you know how to proactively respond to everything. Teams, Outlook and the telephone are used as communication channels. Due to the international nature at Eneco, speaking English is a plus. Due to the high level of Hospitality it is important that you like to roll up your sleeves and approach people. Easily switch between the business, international environment and the warm contact with internal employees.

• Experience in excellent service delivery (experience in Aviation/hospitality/hotelling is a plus);
• A presentable appearance as a hostess/host;

• Affinity with the hospitality industry.

• Good command of the Dutch and English languages;
• Live in (region of) Rotterdam;
• Does not mind traveling to Rotterdam Alexander by public transportation or bicycle;
• You're a real go-getter and 
• Available starting in September for a position on Monday 7:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., Tuesday 7:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m., Wednesday 12:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m., Thursday 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m., and Friday 8:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. = 26
