Operational Facility Manager
All about the function
Yes, you read it right! We are looking for an Operational Facility Manager for one of our clients! Do you have affinity with facility management and can you switch quickly? Then the position of Operational Facility Manager may be for you!
Like a spider in the web, you function between facilities departments and ensure that all operational departments run smoothly. As the Operational Facilities Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting the overall workplace experience at our location through quality assurance, operational readiness and driving day-to-day activities. The role serves as a representative member of the Operations Team, dedicated to maintaining the highest level of FM support, hospitality and customer service, ensuring all services are delivered in accordance with contractual agreements. Due to the variety of tasks you will perform, it is important that you are able to communicate at all levels, switch easily and know how to get things done!
Your duties will include
- Maintain, develop and communicate with relationships such as customers/residents and service providers;
- Orientation to new employees, guests and visitors - including facility tours, overview of facilities/rooms and offerings, and guidance on requesting services;
- Assist with communications and reporting;
- Ensure neat appearance of the building and vendor management;
- Work order requests for interior and exterior maintenance;
- Assist in the implementation and execution of strategic, operational and service improvement activities;
- Collect and analyze operational data to provide accurate reporting and insights for services, work order productivity, cost savings and improvements;
- Assist with performance and tracking of annual budget, annual plan and variance analysis;
- Work and knowledge management. Direct and support projects, reception support, mail handling and security.
Our ideal candidate possesses
- Three years of professional work experience;
- Be available on location for four days;
- FMP, CFM or other facilities certification preferred;
- A completed college education (Hotel School or Leisure Management is a plus) and 3 years of professional work experience required;
- One or two years of leadership experience;
- Customer service, hospitality, reception and administrative experience;
- A proactive work ethic, thinking in solutions;
- Is willing to travel by public transportation or by car to the main office (free parking is available);
- Familiar with facilities management and experienced with automated maintenance management systems.
Furthermore, it is important that you
- Organized and punctual, have presentable appearance and communication strength at all levels of an organization;
- Be flexible, stress-resistant;
- Are available immediately for 6 months with a chance to extend;
- Be available four days a week Monday through Thursday;
- Fluent in Dutch and also proficient in English;
- Live in the Amsterdam area.
