A Day as a Host at the Rijksmuseum

As a Host or Hostess, you are the business card and first point of contact for the Rijksmuseum. In the checkroom, you are responsible for collecting and issuing coats and bags. You will also receive and guide visitors in a very professional and hospitable manner and answer their questions. You will also be responsible for the multimedia desk where audio tours can be purchased and the sale of tickets to the museum. Before starting work, you will undergo training. With your representative looks, your sense of hospitality and your excellent communication skills, you will give visitors an unforgettable welcome. Our ideal candidate possesses

• Experience in the hospitality industry;
• Eye for detail and takes initiative without losing the overview;
• Representative appearance as a host/hostess;
• At least 1 day per week available (Monday through Sunday);
• Per immediate availability for alternating shifts between 08:30 and 18:00 Monday through Sunday;
• Fluent in Dutch and well understood in English;
• Living in (the vicinity of) Amsterdam.
