Sales & Project Manager at Select Catering

To continue the success and quality experience of Select Catering, we are looking for an enthusiastic, driven, full-time Sales & Project Manager. It is a dynamic job at a young company, with projects at leading locations such as Het Scheepvaartmuseum, Eye Filmmuseum, Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk Museum and the Concertgebouw. What will you do?

As Sales & Project Manager, you work closely with your colleagues: Sales managers, project managers and the party managers.
You are the "spider in the web", planning multiple projects simultaneously in detail and making sure you stay within the deadline and budget. You play an advisory role towards the clients and ensure that everything is realized down to the last detail. You can unleash your creativity on the projects and make our clients even more satisfied!

What do we expect from you in your role as Sales/Project Manager?

• The responsibility for the preparation and execution phase of diverse projects of 50 - 1000 guests, from a conference to a completely custom-made event is in your hands! Does this not scare you but rather gives you a kick, then this is why you want to step into this position;
• You will be the contact person of clients for production matters and take an advisory and a directing role in this;
• Direct and liaise with suppliers and other stakeholders;
• Independently forecast total (operational) planning. Think for example of the logistical, facility and personnel planning;
• Financial handling and after-sales of events.

Our ideal candidate possesses

• MBO working and thinking level with appropriate training within the hospitality/event industry;
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a relevant position in the hospitality or event industry;
• No 9-5 mentality, occasionally available on evenings and weekends;
• Energetic and eager to join a close-knit and sociable team;
• Stress resistant, organizationally strong and thinks in solutions;
• Customer-oriented and a serious interlocutor;

Furthermore, it is important that you:

• Being a true foodie;
• Fluent in Dutch and able to make yourself understood in English;
• Reside in the Amsterdam area;
• In possession of a driver's license.
