All about the function
As a Junior Recruiter/Marketing Assistant at Spirit, you are an important link within our HR and marketing team. You make sure that the right candidates are found and approached, and also contribute to the visibility of Spirit as an employer. You will work closely with colleagues to draft vacancies, select candidates and guide them through the application process. With your proactive attitude and communication skills, you make sure the recruitment process runs smoothly and the right match is made.
You will have the opportunity to contribute your creative ideas, for example in drafting vacancy texts or developing marketing campaigns to position Spirit as an employer. You won't do this alone, but together with an enthusiastic and driven team. You'll work together to find the best candidates and to make Spirit visible as a leading organization in the hospitality industry.
What a workday looks like
You start the day with a meeting with the HR team to discuss open positions and staffing needs. Then you get to work reviewing resumes, approaching candidates and scheduling interviews. When the right match is found, you coordinate with the account managers and arrange the follow-up process. You end the morning by completing administrative tasks and a filled vacancy.
After lunch, you focus on your marketing tasks. You write attractive job ads and make sure they are live on various channels to increase visibility. You check that everything is in place and optimize where necessary. In addition, you work with the team on the new Google ads and SEO campaigns. You finish the day with a final check and send an email sharing the performance of the past week.
From talent acquisition to visibility: Your role in recruitment & marketing
In this versatile position you will be active in both recruitment and marketing. You will attract the right candidates and increase the visibility of Spirit as an organization. Your tasks include:
- Drafting attractive job postings and posting them on various channels
- Manage social media channels and create content for potential candidates
- Brainstorm and contribute to new marketing campaigns and strategic development
- Provide input for the website and ensure optimal online presentation
- Reviewing resumes and actively approaching interesting candidates
- Conduct job interviews and guide candidates through the process
- Negotiate terms and conditions of employment (salary, fringe benefits, etc.)
- Concluding employment contracts and maintaining contact with candidates
- Monitoring the progress of vacancies and filling open positions
- Collaborate with other recruiters to optimize marketing recruitment

Our ideal candidate possesses
- At least a completed MBO or HBO education (Hotel School or Leisure Management is a plus);
- Minimum 1 year working experience in the hospitality industry;
- Interest in marketing;
- A proactive work ethic, thinking in solutions;
- Excellent ability to plan & organize.
Furthermore, it is important that you
- Be flexible, stress-resistant and presentable;
- Are available immediately for 4-5 days per week Monday-Friday from 08:30-17:00;
- Full-time or part-time opportunities are negotiable;
- A good command of both Dutch and English is essential for this position, both verbally and in writing;
- Live in the Schiphol and Amsterdam area;
- Not working on a ZZP basis.
