All about the function

Spirit is immediately looking for an HR Assistant/Recruiter for the months of August through November. Will you be our new colleague?

What does your workday look like?

You start your day with a meeting with the HR team. With a cup of coffee or tea, this includes an inventory of open positions and the staffing needs of the clients. You bring forward the potential candidates with whom you have interviewed or from whom you have received a resume. You inform the team of the vacancies that have since been filled and added.

Then you enthusiastically get to work reviewing the resumes that come in. You approach candidates by phone and schedule interviews through teams or at the office. With your knowledge of all the locations and vacancies, you work with the candidate to see what suits them best. Once you have found the right match you will liaise with the account managers within Spirit and schedule a second interview on location. If there is a match you make an offer. You make sure the file is in order with the proposal you made and notify the scheduler. How nice it is when you can end your day with a new colleague and a filled vacancy!

Your duties will include

  • Selecting the most effective recruitment channels;
  • Creating a job profile for a specific vacancy and posting the vacancy;
  • Writing job postings;
  • Collecting, screening and reviewing incoming job applications;
  • Actively approach interesting candidates who fit the job profile outlined;
  • Responding to applications received;
  • Conducting telephone screening (is the candidate suitable for interview);
  • Conducting job interviews;
  • Coaching candidates during the application process;
  • Screening candidates (e.g., contacting references or checking qualifications);
  • Conducting negotiations on primary (salary) and secondary benefits (including pension, benefits, travel, etc.);
  • Maintaining contact with candidates;
  • The conclusion of the employment contract;
  • Resolving any employee problems during their employment;
  • You, along with the other recruiters, are responsible for marketing recruiment within Spirit;
  • Conducting exit interviews if employees leave employment;
  • Conducting absenteeism interviews.

Our ideal candidate possesses

  • At least a completed MBO or HBO education (Hotel School or Leisure Management is a plus);
  • Minimum 1 year work experience in Hospitality industry;
  • A proactive work ethic, thinking in solutions;
  • Is willing to travel to headquarters by Ov or car (free parking is available)
  • Excellent ability to plan & organize.

Furthermore, it is important that you

  • Be flexible, stress-resistant and presentable;
  • Are available immediately until the end of November 2023;
  • Full-time or part-time opportunities are negotiable;
  • Fluent in Dutch and also proficient in English;
  • Live in the Schiphol and Amsterdam area;
  • Not working on a self-employed basis.
