For our internal events, we are looking for a colleague who exceeds our expectations! 

About the client 

This position is a secondment assignment for 6 months with possibility of extension. You will be working at both location Leiden and Amsterdam. In this position you will be part of the Facilities Department and organize internal events up to 100 people such as conferences, employee meetings, training days, seminars and anniversaries. Annually you take care of a large number of events. It is important to think along with the new form of working in the office and to come up with creative event proposals. 

Your role as Event Coordinator

  • You will explore with the client the possibilities of organizing (hybrid) events during intake interviews;
  • Prepares concrete proposals including logistics and supplier plan;
  • Establishes budget, makes price agreements and monitors final budget for final pass-through to client;
  • Sets up scripts; 
  • Ensures that everyone involved in the event is aware of the proceedings;
  • You will prepare all events and also attend the events as a cooperating foreman or woman;
  • You will build good relationships with your clients, stakeholders and suppliers and conduct interim evaluations.

Our ideal candidate possesses

  • A driver's license and own car; 
  • Flexibility in working hours;
  • A college degree in event or facility management;
  • Working experience in event management within large organizations;
  • Communication skills in Dutch writing and language, you also dare to sell "no";
  • Ownership, customer-friendliness, service orientation and results orientation;
  • Creativity, hands-on mentality and great networking ability;
  • Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel and Planon skills.
